Reading Review - Part B
As mentioned in my first blog entry, the areas I am interested in exploring further in preparation for when I become a Teacher Librarian include digital literacy, digital citizenship, and literacy support tools available online. Some resources I can use to help me grow my understanding of these topics include (by subject area): Digital literacy Media Smarts Media Smarts is Canadian organization located in Ottawa that focuses on digital and media literacy. The site contains a treasure trove of information including general information on digital and media literacy, Canadian focused research on media literacy in Canada, educational games and teacher resources. I look forwarded to reading the "From Access to Engagement: Building a Digital Media Literacy Strategy for Canada" report I found on the site along with the various information provide for teachers, such as the "Digital and Media Literacy Outcomes by Province & Territory" to learn what is new in Manitoba.
